MedSearch

Health information that works with no signal.

An offline medicine and symptom reference for iPhone. The medical library lives on your phone — so it works on a plane, in a rural clinic, or in a foreign pharmacy on roaming data.

See what you get Where the data comes from

Free to download. Works fully offline from the moment it is installed.

Search without a connection

Medicines, symptoms and conditions, searched on the device in under a tenth of a second. No account, no network, no tracking.

Read the box you are holding

Point the camera at a medicine package to look it up — useful when the label is in a language you do not read.

Your health book

Medicines, allergies, conditions and emergency contacts, encrypted on your phone. Ready to show a doctor who does not know you.

Knows when to send you to a doctor

Describe how you feel and MedSearch tells you whether this is something to watch, to book an appointment for, or to treat as an emergency.

Where the information comes from

Every entry comes from a national health agency and names its source, so you can check it yourself. Nothing is scraped from the web, and nothing is written by AI.

FDA · U.S. Food & Drug Administration NIH · National Library of Medicine CDC · Centers for Disease Control HPO · Human Phenotype Ontology

Medicine labels are written by manufacturers and filed with the FDA. They can be out of date, and they describe medicines as sold in the United States — brand names and dosing differ elsewhere. Being listed is not an FDA endorsement, and MedSearch is not connected to or endorsed by any of these agencies.

What MedSearch does not do

It does not diagnose. It cannot examine you, and it will not tell you what is wrong. It does not read photographs of your skin or your body — the camera reads printed labels only. And it never tells you to start or stop taking a medicine; that is a conversation with a pharmacist or a doctor.

MedSearch is not a substitute for professional medical advice. If you think you have an emergency, call your local emergency number.
